What is Smart Proxy Routing?
A Smart Proxy is an intermediary server that intelligently directs traffic while applying certain conditions, to meet a specific goal or need.

The Smart Proxy Routing feature allows you to access websites and applications that may block traffic coming from VPN servers. By routing traffic through dedicated proxy servers, this feature enables access to content, sites, or third-party services that are commonly restricted.

While Guardian Firewall's Smart Proxy Routing feature can often unblock commonly restricted content, websites, apps, and streaming services, we cannot guarantee access to all restricted platforms.

If the desired app or website is still not working properly with Smart Proxy Routing enabled, we recommend switching off the VPN when trying to access the affected content.

Important: Smart Proxy Routing for Guardian Firewall + VPN is currently only available on our US servers.

To enable this feature, please follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to Settings within the Guardian app.

2. Tap on ‘Advanced’

3. Toggle on the switch next to ‘Smart Proxy Routing’

If you need more information about the Smart Proxy Routing,  please contact technical support from Settings in Guardian.
