Guardian Firewall + VPN can stop information from leaking to spy apps, in certain scenarios. While Guardian cannot disable or remove the spyware on the device, Guardian can block the information from getting out which would make the spyware useless. However, specifically tailored spyware (and/or “zero-day”) will not always be possible to stop, due to the evolving nature of such malicious software.

Our promise is that we will aggressively hunt for such entities and block them as expeditiously as possible in order to protect our users. We recommend that users who believe they may be a target of spyware utilize a defense-in-depth strategy involving multiple security solutions and behavior in order to best protect themselves.
