There are many factors that can cause an interruption in connection, slow connection, or a problem establishing a strong connection to Guardian's hosts. Below are some tips for getting connected.
First, if you are unable to connect to Guardian, review your network speeds to ensure there is not an issue with the local network. You can test this by opening a browser on your device and navigating to fast.com. There could be a local issue with your provider preventing you from connecting.
If you have established that your internet speeds seem normal but still cannot connect to Guardian or are experiencing very slow internet speeds with Guardian, try some of the steps below:
1) Navigate to Settings in Guardian and select Reset Configuration. This will clear the host field. Try tapping the G-Shield to re-establish a new connection.
2) Navigate to Settings in Guardian and select Advanced > Clear Local Cache.
This may improve the connection if something from the previous connection was causing Guardian to have trouble establishing a connection.
3) If you are noticing very slow connection speeds and have selected a server region, please try selecting a different server region by navigating to Settings in Guardian, Advanced > Server Region.
4) If you are receiving an error pop up when you are attempting to connect, try the following: Open device settings and navigate to General > VPN > Guardian Firewall + VPN. Tap on the (i) next to Guardian Firewall and then select Delete VPN. This will remove the VPN profile, which can then be freshly installed upon the next attempt to connect to Guardian.
